This summer, the Federal Forum on Child and Family Statistics released America's Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2011. The report presents key indicators in seven domains: family and social environment, economic circumstances, health care, physical environment, safety, behavior, education, and health. The Annie E. Casey Foundation has released, the 2011 Kids Count Data Book. This report presents data on child-well being at the state and district levels as well as the national level. Like the FCD Child Well-Being Index (CWI) annual releases, both reports highlight disturbing trends in child well-being that should fuel policy innovations. |
